HB 73 · enacted via HB 315

The Dave & Angie Patient and Health Provider Protection Act — two provisions now law

Signed into law as part of HB 315

  • The World Health Organization has no jurisdiction in Ohio. No political subdivision, public official, or state agency may enforce — or use state funding to implement or incentivize — any WHO health policy, guideline, mandate, recommendation, or rule.
  • No patient may be denied fluids or nutrition. Hospitals and inpatient facilities may not withhold sufficient fluids or nutrition from any patient, except by the patient’s own end-of-life directive or briefly during a medical procedure with informed consent.
